Write the Title of your book, plus the minutes you read today.
ex. The Magic Tree House, 30 minutes

 Pretend you are a new character in your story.  What would your name be? Would you be a good guy/girl or a villain?  How might this change the story.

    MAGIC TREE HOUSE #14 DAY OF THE DRAGON KING If my book changed my character will be a good girl,and the name will be mateposa, the book will change because it is not go to be a long time age.

      Hi Leigha,

      I love the name Mateposa, it sounds a lot like Mariposa in Spanish. I definitely agree with you that the book would change, you would probably spark so much energy.

    "better then perfect" by by Melissa Kantor. (30 min)

    If I was a new character in "better then perfect" I would be a girl and I would keep my real name Chelsea. If I was in this book I think it would change because there would be to many people and the could get isolated.

Hi everyone, So I have heard many of you guys would like to continue to post on our blog during the weekends. I am so excited to know that you guys are enjoying the time you are spending reading. For today, I would like for you try something new, take a challenge.  I would like for you to read in a new place today, for example, maybe you always read in the couch in your living room, today, take your book and read outside, in your room, in the kitchen, and briefly explain your experience.  Did you like reading in a new place? Write the title of your book, plus the minutes you read today. As you may have noticed, this week we will be working on how authors use different figurative of speech to make their book more interesting for the reader. Author's also appeal to the reader's senses.  Have you ever read a book, where you can clearly imagine the cake sitting on the table.  Author's do that on purpose, so you can sink in to the story. Today, I would like for you to pay close attention to how your author writes the story and what senses are being triggered while reading the book. Quote 3 examples, plus the page number where you found it.
