"better than perfect" by Melissa Kantor. (1Hr) In my book "better than perfect" the main character is named Juliet Newman who lives in Manhattan. She works hard and is dedicated to her education and is still pulling through after her and her parents split up.
"Tower Of Dawn" By Sarah J. Maas (1 hr) I did not get to read a lot about this character but I know that Chaol is a young man who is stuck in a wheel chair which he states is "my prison and savior". He used to be a general of the soldiers in Antica but got fired because he committed crimes he dose not want to say until later into the book. Without his job he moves to a town with no name and wanted to go to Antica for the last time.
MAGIC TREE HOUSE #4 PIRATES PAST NOON (1:03) Annie is 7 years old and I think she is important in this story because she is friendly and she never gives up hope and she always helps her brother when he is in danger and in the book Annie is kicking a pirate because the pirate has her brother and she is brave, kind , and helpful she is always there if you need help and that is why I think she is important in this story. I hope you like this book. Leigha
One character in the book is Starr. Starr is only a teenager but has already witnessed a friends death. Natasha was Starr's Friend but when they were 10 Natasha got shot and died.. Starr lives in bad neighborhood but goes to a good school. She has to " act differently" when she is in school rather the way she would act when she was in her neighborhood. Starr's friend and cousin, Khalil was giving Starr A ride back home from a party but they got pulled over by a cop. Starr learned many things from her dad, 1: "Get a good look at the cop's Face. If you can remember the badge even better." 2: "Be smart around them" 3: " Don't let them put words in your mouth." 4: " if your with someone, you better hope they got nothing to hide or you both gonna get it. After the cop pulls them over, the police officer turns around and so does Khalil but Khalil did not know that "It's not smart to move while an officer has their back to you. Khalil got shot three times. He died. Starr then felt like she was 10 again because of Natasha. She felt angry and sad. She went back to school. She thought she betrayed Every black guy she knew because she was dating a boy who was white. She then felt weak.
Write the title of your book, plus the minutes you read today? ex. Junie B. Jones, 45 minutes Pretend to write a letter to the author of the book you are reading? What would you say? Is there something you did not like about the book? Would you suggest something to be done different in the story?
Hi everyone, So I have heard many of you guys would like to continue to post on our blog during the weekends. I am so excited to know that you guys are enjoying the time you are spending reading. For today, I would like for you try something new, take a challenge. I would like for you to read in a new place today, for example, maybe you always read in the couch in your living room, today, take your book and read outside, in your room, in the kitchen, and briefly explain your experience. Did you like reading in a new place? Why or why not?
Write the title of your book, plus the minutes you read today. As you may have noticed, this week we will be working on how authors use different figurative of speech to make their book more interesting for the reader. Author's also appeal to the reader's senses. Have you ever read a book, where you can clearly imagine the cake sitting on the table. Author's do that on purpose, so you can sink in to the story. Today, I would like for you to pay close attention to how your author writes the story and what senses are being triggered while reading the book. Quote 3 examples, plus the page number where you found it.

Jordan, I like the use of direct quotes from the book, you are writing like a college student. Keep up the good work.
